An Inspiring Day!

Wednesday was inspiring, to say the least.

With the mountain setting the stage for the glory of God, Emmaus staff, students, visitors and the board of trustees came together for Academic Convocation to commit our first year students and new Master’s students to His Word and His Work.

A church from Cap-Haitian sent a fabulous men’s singing group, the EBS worship team filled the campus with songs of praise, Dr. Ray Easley preached a fantastic sermon, outlining the kind of men and women God can use as world-changers, Dr. Matt Ayars outlined the vision for Emmaus to continue to decrease that God might increase, and the Academic Dean, Fanfan Joseph, led all the new students through their commitment to the Gospel and charge to holy living and servant leadership.

Over 60 students were commissioned, and 20 staff and board members were privileged to pray over them.

It was such a privilege to worship together, to have so much support here for the service, and to take a step back and remember whose we are and for whom we labor and strive! God continues to be at work in hearts, in Haiti, in the world, and Emmaus is grateful to be a part of what He’s doing.

We need your partnership more than ever! If you can be a part of building the much-needed larger classrooms (more on that soon!), if you feel led to provide a much-needed scholarship for one of our students, if you want to be a part of what God’s doing through Emmaus in any way, we need you. Send us an email (info@emmaus.edu.ht), give here, or get in touch about how you can best partner with Emmaus!

From the beauty of the day to the privilege of the worship, from the many students God has brought to Emmaus to the precious task of teaching and equipping men and women in the Gospel, we are grateful for days like yesterday to celebrate! Thank you for being a praying and sending part of Emmaus…for the transformation of Haiti, and the world!
