A Bachelor of Education from Emmaus University equips you to engage your community—whether in Haiti, the Caribbean, or beyond—through transformative teaching and leadership. Offered on weekends, this program allows you to pursue your calling while balancing other responsibilities.
The BEd program prepares students to be effective educators by providing a strong foundation in educational theory, curriculum development, and classroom practice. It emphasizes practical teaching skills, the development of critical thinking, and the ability to guide students in diverse cultural and learning contexts.
Additionally, the program focuses on developing leaders in education, equipping students with the knowledge and organizational principles needed to positively influence schools, communities, and educational systems.

Goals of the program
- Graduates of the Bachelor of Education program will be able to:
- Understand the overall structure and content of the school curriculum, gaining a comprehensive foundation in education.
- Apply literary, historical, and pedagogical methods to analyze texts, learning materials, and educational contexts in a methodologically reflective manner.
- Use educational theory and research tools to assess student learning and classroom effectiveness.

- Develop a clear understanding of the history and philosophy of education and the ability to think critically about teaching practices.

Program Format
Undergraduate courses in the Bachelor of Education program are designed for weekend learners, with four courses offered each semester:
Two on-campus courses – Meet on weekends for immersive, face-to-face learning.
One hybrid course – Accessible either via Zoom or on campus, combining flexibility with live interaction.
One asynchronous course – Completed online at your own pace, allowing students to engage with materials and assignments on a schedule that fits their life.
This schedule allows students to pursue their degree while balancing work, ministry, or other responsibilities, providing a flexible yet structured learning experience that equips them for effective teaching and educational leadership.
