Greetings Emmaus family!
Dr. Easley, who served as the Rector of Emmaus Biblical Seminary from 2010–2012, has taught several classes since and brings to EU a rich skill-set and strong history of executive administration in higher academic institutions.
It’s with great pleasure we announce that Dr. Bryan Easley has been named the Executive Vice Rector for the upcoming school year (2019–2020).
Dr. Easley will officially begin as the Executive Vice Rector on May 6, 2019. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Easley to the team!
Thursday, January 17th we celebrated our annual Convocation service, this year hemming in our __new undergrad students and __new Master’s students. It was a special time of commitment to God’s standards and to God’s service, and a reverent opportunity for our staff and returning students to recommit to the studying and learning and living of His Word with Emmaus’ Latin expression, ardenti in cordibus vestris, with His fire burning in our hearts!
If you are planning your next Mission Trip to Haiti, check out Emmaus University. We have a guesthouse loft just for teams able to sleep 12-14 people, with 3 baths, full kitchen, and den for you to enjoy. We have 24 hour electric, wireless internet, and clean water. We would love for you to join us at Emmaus this year. For more information, visit our Teams page or contact us directly.
The library at Emmaus University is moving rapidly toward being a full-service learning resource center – not just a repository for books. To this end, we need a large copy machine and laser printer for students to use. Future planning also includes the addition of a staffed Writing Center to assist students with all aspects of writing academically in French and English. Regarding books, we are significantly lacking in volumes in French for theology, education, and leadership.
If you have specific questions regarding the needs of the library, please contact the Librarian at firstname.lastname@example.org. To explore Emmaus University library resources, please click on the Library Search icon in the website page footer.
Emmaus is now officially a member of ECFA, the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability!
ECFA has been providing accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, fundraising and board governance since 1979.
Being ECFA accredited enhances trust in Christ-centered churches and ministries like Emmaus by establishing and applying ECFA’s Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship, which means that when you give to Emmaus, you know that you’re giving to an organization who adheres to high standards of financial integrity, transparency and Christian ethics!
Being above reproach is of the utmost importance at Emmaus, from our financial practices to our academic standards, from our good government standing in Haiti to our holiness standards for all faculty, staff and students. How precious is the cause of Christ, the only cause that matters!
We praise the Lord for this successful accreditation, for His mighty daily help, and for donors like you joining us in much-needed prayer and giving. These prayers and financial support are developing above-reproach, Christ-like leaders for the transformation of Haiti…and the world!
